• A minimum of five years of experience in the truck service field.
• A CDL license or the ability to obtain a CDL.
• The ability to work well under pressure and have good organizational skills.
• The ability to assist the Service Manager in training mechanics.
• Customer Service skills to greets customers and coordinate service orders.
• The ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and recommend repairs to customers.
• The ability to schedule and assign work to mechanics.
• The ability to review work in process and assure its completion in a timely manner.
• Able to road tests vehicles and ensures quality control.
• Able to ensure proper and correct information is on repair order.
• Able to supervise housekeeping in the Service department, and maintain tools, shop equipment and minor building maintenance.
• The ability to relate to and communicate well with customers, warranty, technical and supervisory associates.
• Computer skills and vendor knowledge.
