What We're Looking For

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
This role requires work to be performed outside of a temperature-controlled shop environment with a very high sound level. You must wear a welding jacket or equivalent, face shield, welding hood, safety glasses, ear plugs and steel toed boots and gloves. This role will be required to visit areas of the company where manufacturing work is being performed to accomplish the essential functions of the job. it is required that appropriate clothing, headwear and PPE are worn at all times to maintain safety standards. You must follow and enforce all EMIT safety standards and procedures.
This position has the following physical requirements:
Heavy standing and walking
Moderate stooping, bending and twisting of the neck, bending and twisting from the waist, and reaching overhead.
Frequent fine manipulation and simple grasping of both right and left hands (e.g. power tools, hand tools, etc.)
Minimal lifting or moving materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
Requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and the ability to adjust focus.
What You Bring to the Table
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Welding certification (Preferred)
3 plus years welding experience
Must pass EMIT welding test
