Position Responsibilities:

As a member of our Senior Leadership team reporting directly to the COO and working closely with the CTO, the VP of Engineering is responsible for leading a dynamic team of about 20+ engineers in the art of Robotics, Mechatronics, AI and ML.

We're looking for an Engineering leader to think outside the box and that will challenge ideas, generate discussion while encouraging their team to do the same.

This person will work closely with the Product Development team to forecast overall market needs. As well as working closely with the Operations and Sales teams to generate viable commercial solutions.

This role includes:

• Work closely with the CTO to understand Osaro's direction and develop overall roadmap and strategy
• Leading, mentoring and scaling a team of 20+ Engineers to create alignment across the engineering department while driving urgency of high value problems
• Maintaining coding best practices within the operations engineering team
• Work cross-functionally and collaborate with our Operations and Sales teams and leaders
• Coordinate team deliverables to ensure a cohesive and on-time delivery of platform improvements
• Maintaining best-in-class QA standards
• Create a performance-driven culture that hones in on execution while encouraging creativity and a strong commitment to the overall company vision

Qualifications:

• 15+ years' Engineering experience
• Previous Commercial Robotics or Material Handling Automation experience is a must
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent (Preferably a Masters Degree)
• Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures
• Prior experience managing a multidisciplinary team of 20+ Engineers
• Experience in AI/ML
• Results and detail oriented
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical, data driven and problem-solving skills
