Job Overview

Our customers include meat, milk, and egg producers as well as those with specialty and companion animals. Our Lancaster, PA location has an immediate opening for a 1st shift full time Utility Operator. First shift hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
The primary duties for this position are to operate equipment within established guidelines for efficiency, safety, product quality, food safety and customer service. The equipment will include batching, pelleting, and packing equipment and other equipment unique to a plant. The operator must be knowledgeable in batching, pelleting, and packing procedures and properly document the process as required by Quality and Food Safety procedures.
Qualified applicants will possess a high school diploma, have experience with pelleting and mixing, be committed to work in a safe manner, be able to read and follow procedures, complete required paperwork, operate a forklift, and have good computer and math skills. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry at least 60 lbs., work in natural climate conditions, climb ladders and be physically active throughout the shift. A pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check is required.
