Position Details
What You Will Do
As the Claims Manager, you will oversee a team of clerical Associates responsible for a wide variety of administrative processes supporting critical Department workflows
Deliver exceptional customer service, both internally and externally
Discuss and problem solve queries from Claims and other operational departments
Recommend continuous improvement ideas and value added initiative to Claims
Coordinate resources and participate in projects and system testing as needed
Lead, manage and develop team members to maximize performance and efficiency
Provide coaching for administrative processes and develop new workflows as needed
Ensure adherence to Regulatory requirements including transaction input and coding
Create and deliver annual performance reviews along with appropriate action plans
Conduct feedback discussions with associates for performance & development
Encourage continuous learning within the Team
Who You Are
Post-secondary education completed in a related field
A minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
A minimum of 5 years of claims administrative experience or equivalent
Working knowledge of property and casualty insurance operational departments
Knowledge of claims administration processes and phone queue oversight
Innovative, strategic and cooperative skills required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Have excellent judgment and strong problem-solving skills
Possess exceptional organizational skills and an ability to prioritize workloads
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
Be able to work with minimal supervision
