JOB DESCRIPTION: The Lead UC Systems Engineer shall have experience with large-scale Voice over IP (VoIP) designs, implementations and migrations. The Engineer shall have experience in writing system engineering plans and other related documentation. The Engineer shall have the ability and desire to take ownership of support issues and reach successful resolution with customers. Additionally, he/she shall provide technical assistance and support as part of the core engineering team and be directly involved with non-standard voice operations.

• Assist with site survey in order to provide a comprehensive design plan

• Support engineering, furnishing, installing, securing and testing of the network system

• Support migration, installation and de-installation of the network system

• Develop and execute detailed SOP's and documentation in areas related to VoIP

• Provide integration and acceptance testing

• Provide comprehensive Tier 3 technical support

• Perform upgrades and modifications

• Maintain VoIP high availability

• Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to network devices

• Configure virtual machines through VMware vSphere

• Apply knowledge of legacy time-division multiplexing (TDM) telephone switches

• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, CUBE

• Apply knowledge of Dial plans, Call routing, Translations / transformations, Dial peers, Cisco Jabber, VoIP fundamentals, IP networking

QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

• 8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.
