Job Overview
Summary
In our Mechatronic team, called SignWorks, the Mechanical Cabinet Assembly manufacturing division, performs everything from metal fabrication/CNC operation to welding, paint, component installation, and cabinet assembly/wiring.
Responsibilities
Use professional MIG welding equipment, complete professional welds to secure our customer's product safely and neatly
Following a print, frame up the outer shape "skeleton" of a large aluminum cabinet and prepare it for welding
Following a print, prepare the aluminum "skins" to be mounted on the aluminum "skeleton"
Using rubbing alcohol and similar non-toxic materials, clean and prepare the surfaces
Utilizing highly adhesive mounting tapes, mount the aluminum "skins"
Operate large overhead cranes for positioning and relocating partial and completed units
Assist and cross train into other areas as needed
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Ability to read a tape measure and use hand tools
Great attention to detail
Reliable, with excellent attendance and punctuality
Ability to quickly learn new tasks by asking questions and fully understanding the work being done
Flexible, cooperative, and interested in learning and doing a variety of jobs
Energetic with a cheerful attitude
Proven ability to be timely and ready and willing to work
English literacy is an essential function of these positions due to written work instructions, safety labeling of equipment, job specific documentation, etc.
Basic computer skills
Ability to read blueprints and drawings
Required Education and Licensing
High School diploma, GED or equivalent
3+ years' experience in MIG welding aluminum components
3+ years' of professional welding experience
Welding Certification preferred
