Truck Mechanic (Diesel) Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair & maintain diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks and buses
Document repairs using fleet maintenance software
Conduct road tests as required
Participate in Company paid training and stay abreast of manufacturer-provided technical updates
May oversee work of apprentice technicians if appropriate/assigned
Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals
Comply with Federal, State & local regs (hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.)
Truck Mechanic (Diesel) Qualifications:
Successful candidates will be or possess:
3 years' exp repairing Class 8 trucks and buses (i.e.: Blue Bird, Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, Cummins, CAT, Eaton, Meritor, Allison and DT12 trucks, etc.)
Engine, Transmission, Air & Emissions Systems exp (EPA07, EPA10+)
Computerized diagnostic skills
21+ years' old (for auto insurance purposes) & able to lift 100 lbs.
Valid/clean driver's license
Willing/able to obtain certifications (Company paid training)
Preferred candidates will also be or possess:
Experience specific to above noted vehicles
Certifications for any of the above noted vehicles
Current CDL, clear of violations/accidents, accompanied by DOT medical cert
