Truck Equipment Installer and Repair Technician Description
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to install and repair truck equipment on Heavy duty and Medium duty trucks. This individual's primary job function is the installation and repair of hydraulic componentry, basic electric componentry, tarp systems, hydraulic cylinders, air cylinders, basic fabrication, ETC..
Truck Equipment Installer and Repair Technician Essential Responsibilities:
Work as a team with fellow employees
Fabricate and/or install componentry on Medium and Heavy Duty Trucks
Repair trucks and equipment as needed
Ensure working space is clean and safe.
Completes assigned repairs and tasks in a timely and safe manner.
Participates and completes technical training and professional development.
Truck Equipment Installer and Repair Technician Individuals need to have the following:
Current Commercial Driver's license is preferred but not required
Preferred experience in MIG Welding
Truck Equipment Installer and Repair Technician Computer skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer aided software and Repair Order Processing Software.
Truck Equipment Installer and Repair Technician Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Sufficient manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (or operate a PC) and ability to climb ladders. Position requires the ability to operate motor vehicles. Ability requires a person to bend, twist, squat, reach in order to perform tasks on truck components, and have use knowledge of the following tools:
Ability to lift a minimum of 60 - 150lbs. unassisted.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, due to tools and engine noise.
