Job Overview
Description: Must have retail/restaurant experience
We are seeking a traveling superintendent to join our team. Your home base can be anywhere in the United States, but we do like to spread our superintendents around and target where we have the most projects (Dallas, Chicago, Phoenix, Denver, Los Angeles or Atlanta but we will consider other locations as well). We need you to be able to travel anywhere, at any time, for any type of project.
The Superintendent will be responsible for the onsite coordination and management of all site construction activities while supervising field personnel to successfully complete the project on schedule, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations. This includes maintaining the highest quality, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities.
Work Experience / Requirements:
Proven track record of dependability and reliability
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding deadlines
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Experience both in union and non-union environments
Experience and comfortable with technology and software programs related to the construction industry
Ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: ground-up construction, renovations, retail chains, flagship or restaurants
Must be willing and able to travel anywhere in the country at any time.
OSHA 30-hour training preferred
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with plans, specifications, site, local codes, local officials and inspection procedures
- Set up field office, communications, temporary services and trash removal as required
- Assist Project Manager in developing the project schedule
- Schedule all subcontractors and deliveries as needed to meet the project schedule
- Schedule and attend all required inspections
- Complete and submit all paperwork as required
- Establish and maintain benchmarks and reference points for ongoing layout of work
- Work with owner, owner's rep, architect and subcontractors to resolve any conflicts that may arise and communicate any such conflicts immediately to Project manager
- Communicate, implement and enforce company safety policy as it pertains to assigned project
- Attend job meetings and/or any other meetings that may be required for the successful and timely completion of the project
- Attend walk through at job completion to ascertain punch list
- Facilitate weekly safety meetings at jobsite
- Execute punch list in a timely manner and obtain all necessary signed acknowledgments
- Close out field office and project as necessary
- Will need to obtain OSHA 30-hour certification
- Attend all meetings and training as required
- Travel to the home office as needed for training, meetings, etc.
