JOB DUTIES • Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to medium to heavy-duty vehicles • Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures • Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles • Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles • Interact with clients through both email or phone as necessary • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide tractor/trailer repair solutions • Preventative maintenance in line with DOT standards • Maintain vehicle records in the database EXPERIENCE • 1+ year Trailer Mechanic experience or related field preferred (willing to consider candidates with applicable skills in related field) • Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks • Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders • Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing • Ability to work in a team environment while following shop safety procedures • Knowledge of ABS, brakes, diagnostics, electronics, lights, hydraulics, suspensions • Provide own tools BENEFITS • Medical, Dental, and Vision plans • 401k with company match • PTO • Consistent schedule • Large operation with room to grow! • Great company culture; leadership that cares
