Nitsch Engineering is seeking an experienced and dynamic Traffic Engineer to join our team at one of our three Massachusetts offices: Boston, Worcester, or Lawrence. As we continue to grow our market share, we strive to position ourselves and build on our successful model of client delivery by expanding our traffic engineering capabilities. To achieve this goal, we are in immediate need for a Traffic Engineer with hands-on design experience and knowledge with Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and the City of Boston process and standards. The ideal candidate must have 5-10 years of local experience utilizing traffic analysis software and preparing traffic studies.
In this role, you will perform engineering tasks, oversee junior staff, conduct traffic analysis, lead traffic studies, and design roadways, traffic signals, intersections, and ancillary facilities. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and an active Massachusetts PE license are required. A master's degree in transportation engineering and PTOE certification will be considered a plus. The ideal candidate will be experienced in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred), SYNCHRO 11 traffic analysis software, and VISSIM and possess strong communication skills, technical writing skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to work in a team environment.
