Position Summary: The Tower Team of Mercury Broadband builds and services all of Mercury's tower sites. The Tower Foreman is primarily responsible for acting as the crew lead on telecommunications sites and tower construction required to upgrade wireless networks. The Tower Foreman climbs and works on communications towers to install, replace, and repair antenna systems equipment. This position will conduct and perform construction duties to complete each project to specification and finish each project in a timely manner, with exceptional quality and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations at assigned sites
  • Represent the company in a professional manner
  • Maintain daily paperwork required for the site
  • Implement and follow through with job instructions provided by leadership
  • Ensure safety and quality control requirements at your sites and with your crew
  • Compile all site-specific closeout documentation for your work effort
  • Responsible for assigned work orders ensuring completion and closeout
  • Assist in training Tower Technician I, II and III
  • Survey and pass on any site recommendation for potential new site leads
  • Troubleshoot complex issues
Skills and Requirements:
  • Follow cabling procedures for wiring towers
  • Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, towers (up to 300'), and elevated locations
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate basic hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with computers
  • Basic computer networking skills and knowledge
  • Use of PC based applications to program and diagnose various communications equipment
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • 2+ years tower climbing experience
Preferred Skills:
  • First Aid/CPR certified
  • OSHA 10
  • Competent Climber/Rescue Training
  • Basic Electrical Safety Training
  • RF Awareness Training
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
