Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking a Tool Gauge Inspector 1 to provide support to our team in Clearfield, UT.

Role Description:

This position involves detailed inspection of composites parts and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process of composite structures for quality and design verification in a fast paced high rate production environment. It requires knowledge and experience related to visual inspections, detailed dimensional inspections of machined parts using laser tracker equipment, the use of standard measuring instruments and a background of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent GED (education will be verified)
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance and the ability to obtain special program access
Candidate should have technical strengths in composite processing, operations, and inspection
Must be familiar with standard mechanical Inspection techniques and tools
Must be able to use standard measuring equipment
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures
Must be able to work flexible and changing shift schedules
Must be able to work weekends
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to work in a diverse work environment
Experience using power and/or hand tools
Proficient in Microsoft applications

Preferred Experience:

Strong coursework in Math (Geometry & Trigonometry)
Experience or training of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Experience using laser tracker inspection systems
Knowledge and
experience with Spatial Analysis, Polyworks or Verisurf Software

Salary Range: $19 USD - $31 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
