This is a critical position within the Manufacturing and R&D engineering teams that will lead collaboration efforts for requirements analysis, specification, and design of test systems for electronic medical devices. The Test Engineer will be involved in test system development, verification and validation strategies, and execution. They will also identify, mitigate and manage technical risks as part of the design oversight process. In this role the test engineer will provide test system hardware and software design support to the Manufacturing and R&D teams as needed.

• Full time, M-F (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
• Every other Friday off

Description of Job Duties:

• Works with design engineers to develop test requirement documents.
• Develops test system Verification & Validation test plans and executes test plans. Writes test plans and reports.
• Creates characterizations, IQs, OQs, and PQs of test systems.
• Designs and assists electronic engineering and technical personnel in fabrication of test systems, test control equipment and engineering prototypes
• Coordinates engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test engineering and prototype devices with both internal and external resources.
• Uses and evaluates test system software and hardware.
• Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of products and test systems to resolve or improve products and processes.
• Provides ongoing test engineering support to existing and new product development cross functional teams.

Knowledge and Experience:

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Test System development or related or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical device/system test.
• Proven hands-on contributor with debugging capabilities.
• Good understanding of electrical device test system design and development.
• Experience with test automation tools.
• Self-motivated, team player, good communication skills, good writing capability.
• Understanding of medical device quality systems requirements preferred.
