SUMMARY - Wash Bay Tech
Shift: Monday to Thursday; 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Reporting to the Shop Supervisor (or, where that position does not exist, the Service Manager) the Wash Bay Technician role is responsible for all aspects of cleaning and detailing vehicle/trailer interiors and/or exteriors as well as assisting in keeping the shop area and grounds tidy, clean and free of garbage or debris. This role may also assist in general property maintenance and snow removal as assigned.

KEY ACTIVITIES
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and ensure that all safety practices and procedures are being followed at all times, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (steel toed boots, safety vest, protective eye/face gear, gloves, etc.) for the task at hand.
Safely use the appropriate tools for the job such as pressure washer, washing equipment, ozone generators (or other deodorizers), and snow removal apparatuses as applicable.
Wash and detail vehicle/trailer interiors and/or exteriors by hand, brush or other washing equipment.
Ensure the successful delivery of customer service excellence to internal and external customers, by conducting tasks in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Education
High School Diploma - Preferred
Experience
Experience and understanding of the cleaning and detailing of commercial vehicles would be an asset
Valid driver's license with clean driving record in order to safely operate units
Experience of working in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
High tolerance for ambiguity
Team player
Ability to clearly communicate problems and solutions to others
Detail-oriented
Superior problem solving skills
A positive attitude and a high level of professionalism
