SUMMARY: The Technical Service Representative will effectively support company efforts to assure customer technical needs are met. The service representative will work closely with the Sales Team in the assigned territory to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities as well as manage customer relationships and execute service plans to maintain existing business. The Technical Service Representative will work with the Sales Team to identify customer needs and support value-adding solutions utilizing SNF products and services. Reports to Area Sales Manager - Midwest. The Technical Sales Representative's home office within the US Midwest region. RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate with Sales Team to support current customer technical support needs and assist in sales development activities such as process surveys, product evaluation, and application testing. market share for SNF. Develop expertise in the operation of and optimization of polymer application in industrial water and wastewater systems and equipment, including clarifiers, centrifuges, and filter presses. Work with Area Manager and the SNF team to develop and maintain favorable relationships with customers. Plan and implement Technical Service plans to ensure customer satisfaction for all ongoing accounts. Provide expert troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to solve customer process and product problems. Understand the safe handling, use, and storage of SNF products. Comply with all safety practices and environmental regulations applicable to the customer's site. Maintain the confidentiality of the Company's products, customers, and proprietary information. Job Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline or business degree and equivalent market experience is required. Experience with and understanding of dewatering and clarification equipment; i.e. centrifuges, belt presses, and clarifiers. Specific experience and expertise in the application of wastewater polymers at petrochemical plants, food processing, and/or industrial sand washing & processing are a plus. A character that is confident, bright, articulate, innovative, highly motivated, and self-starting with a high energy level and a spirit of team effort and cooperation. Strong orientation to customer service and the ability to gain the respect of the end-user. Knowledge and ability to create sales quotations for chemical and equipment packages The ability to participate effectively in service and sales planning, and to arrive at sound decisions designed to produce effective results. Microsoft Office Suite experience and skills at the intermediate to advanced level. Ability to travel at least 60% of the time.
