TA Engineer

• Leads the turnaround technical team and activities to ensure achievement of turnaround goals.
• Leads the development and improvement of technical driven turnaround strategies, management plans, and execution plans (e.g., inspection, quality assurance, contracting, etc.). Leads or participates in the development of other turnaround management and execution plans as assigned.
• Contributes to the overall leadership of turnaround planning and execution. Drives the use of turnaround best practices.
• Acts as turnaround manager in his or her absence.
• Facilitates and leads the identification and development of technical or engineered turnaround work scope (e.g., projects, inspection, engineered work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, etc.).
• Provides general coordination and progress monitoring for turnaround related site engineering and project management activities.
• With the assistance of the Planning & Scheduling Coordinator and other team members, defines technical resource needs and assigns, allocates, or procures them as required to efficiently meet turnaround and project goals.
• Communicates with other TACT members to ensure safe, efficient, cost effective execution of all technical work. Establishes and adjusts technical priorities with the assistance of the Planning & Scheduling Coordinator. Manages disputes and conflict resolution among technical disciplines. Assures turnaround activities do not adversely impact ongoing plant operations.
• Completes activities assigned in the turnaround control document and provides timely activity status updates to the Turnaround Manager.
• Prepares turnaround closure report and leads the post-turnaround critique.
• Provides or coordinates technical input into the development of production strategies and work plans.
• Provides or coordinates process design input for applicable engineered work scope items.
