Description: As the Systems Engineering Manager you will lead the Systems Engineering team in the design, purchase and build of hardware and software application solutions and training. This position is engaged in the engineering, procurement, build, programming, commissioning, and retro-commissioning projects related to advanced controls systems. The position also provides support for project management, bid/proposal preparation, configuration and testing/validation. You will have ownership over project success both in-house and in the field. Resource Planning • Coordinate resources, team and third-party contractors/consultants in order to deliver project tasks according to plan. • Estimate the material and product needed to achieve department / company goals including implementing and maintaining a forecast measurement. • Accurately prepare and organize budgets for review with leaders Functional Leadership • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of projects • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management • Guide, direct, review, and approve software design including software applications, software code development and support documentation. • Support Engineering activities including all electrical wiring and mechanical designs, custom software configurations for projects, product procurement, production scheduling and system build schedule. • Ensure team's ISO procedures and quality standards are maintained • Manage software activities including software development, validation, verification and field installation. Project Management • Strengthen the financial performance of the company through effectively monitoring project task cost, schedules, on time delivery. • Review and write technical letters, reports, manuals and test plans • Approve budgeted project expenditures, enforce process rules and making decisions about the purchase of materials or service Leadership Responsibilities • Leadership responsibilities include all aspects of the talent lifecycle: talent acquisition, talent development, performance management, coaching and developing.
