Your role:
Systems Engineering & Integration - Imagery and Lighting System Lead
What you'll do all day:
The Systems Engineer (SE) will be supporting the Computer Human Interface Imagery and Lighting System, a critical sub-system of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon
Support engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documents
Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering
Conduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification and validation activities
Work with requirements to align with hardware specifications while understanding the verifications
Perform system engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback during the design process
Work with ground testing and flight operations testing of hardware with end item documentation
Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements
Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews
Perform and review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance
Participate in test, verification, and operation of the as-built hardware
Work with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses
Work and present schedule and progress to customers
Perform other duties as required
Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment

BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and five (5) years of related engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and four (4) years of related engineering experience, or Ph.D. from an accredited engineering school and zero (0) years of related experience.
Knowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools, and technologies including model-based systems engineering
Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection.
Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings
Able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
Experience working in a team environment
Desired skills and experience for this position:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school
5-10 years' of relevant experience in engineering or systems engineering
Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork
Experience with NASA processes
