Requirements:System Engineer Support - Hybrid is responsible for the delivery of high-quality IT technical professional services to our clientele. These services may include on-site and/or remote troubleshooting and support for clients with various network technologies and installation and integration. Systems Engineer Support must demonstrate superior proficiency in performance of these services. Dedication to quality and customer satisfaction are critical success factors for this position.
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Customer Satisfaction - Through delivery of Top-Quality professional Services - our ultimate responsibility is the delivery of professional services to the satisfaction of our customers.
Productivity - Optimizing productivity while assigned to Support tasks, and working with management to minimize unassigned, or non-productive time.
Problem Solving and Escalation - The diagnosis and resolution of unexpected and challenging problems are among the Engineer's primary responsibilities. A reasonable time period for the resolution of these problems should be determined jointly between the Engineer and Manager. Upon exceeding a reasonable time limit, the Engineer will be responsible for escalating the problem to Management for determination as to how to proceed.
Customer Relations - The Engineer must be professional and courteous at all times. Stressful and difficult situations may arise, but the Engineer is required to maintain a professional demeanor.
Training/Personal Development - Pursuit of ongoing training and continuing technical education is critical to maintain Engineer's knowledge level current with new technology, and to serve as an expert resource to our clients.
GENERAL POLICIES & PRACTICES:
Timekeeping / Reporting Requirements - Engineer is responsible for tracking of the hours spent in their workday (billable and non-billable), as well as reporting details related to all services performed.
Scheduling and Time Management - Assignment Supervisor (Customer Service, Manager, etc.) will be responsible for setting and maintaining scheduled events for all Engineers.
Availability and Accessibility Requirement - Our standard business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, but the work we do often extends beyond the normal business hours.
- Availability outside our standard business hours for work assignments, and for training and development, is a requirement of this position.
- Every possible consideration is given to provide advance notice to employees for scheduled after-hours assignments; however, availability for after-hours work to address critical customer needs on short notice is a requirement of the Engineer position.
- Engineers will be assigned to be on call for 24x7 response on a rotating basis, if assigned to Support duties. After-hour support services may include response via telephone, by remote access to customer's network, or may require on-site service within the prescribed response time. The on call Engineer must be available and prepared to respond quickly, if called. up. An Engineer can expect and average of 1-2 afterhours calls per week.
Travel - Local - Employee must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel to local customer sites. Engineer will receive mileage reimbursement for billable travel to client sites.
Performance Review Periods - Performance Evaluations will be conducted on a Semi-Annual basis.
