Position: Feature Owner Engineer

Duration: 2 year contract + possible extensions

Location: Wayne, MI

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering degree
• 2+ years of experience with automotive engineering, electrical systems engineering, requirements engineering or functional safety engineering
• Experience writing test case procedures
• Experience gathering and writing requirements from scratch

Plusses:

• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering degree
• 5+ years of experience in an automotive engineering role
• Experience working with ADAS
• Experience with SysML, MagicDraw, MATLAB Simulink
• Previous Ford work history or experience

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Feature Owner Engineer for a large OEM client in the Detroit area. The Feature Owner Engineer will lead the development and modeling of new features using the latest technology to deliver an enhanced, seamless and connected experience for their customers. The engineer will engage in cross functional teams (e.g. Product Engineering, UX, HMI, Connectivity, Marketing) to lead feature development with a focus on the end customer's user experience. Some additional job details are listed below -

• Creating functional safety documentation and requirements
• Creating feature requirement documentation and functional requirements
• Creating feature FMA documents including DFMEA, Boundary Diagram, P-Diagram
• Working closely with a cross-functional core engineering team on functional requirements
• Work closely with User Experience (UX) team to define and improve customer needs and wants
