Job Overview
United States Cold Storage is seeking a highly motivated, goal orientated Project Engineer to lead renewable energy construction projects and support existing warehouse facilities in achieving the Company's Sustainable Development goals. This individual should apply engineering principles and practices to ensure that facilities are designed, constructed, maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner. Interact with company engineering and regional resources in the maintenance and operation of refrigerated warehouses and sustainable infrastructure. Provide coordination between internal and external engineering resources. This individual should be quick to adapt to challenges and insist on the highest of standards for our "Best in Class" facilities.
Principal Accountabilities
Lead the management and construction of renewable infrastructure construction projects ranging in size from $500K to $15M in capital expenditure.
Oversee and report on activities of design build contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
Report on and communicate project specific information to local, regional and senior management teams.
Build strong relationships with warehouse and regional personnel to support issues involving renewable infrastructure, industrial refrigeration, energy optimization, plant maintenance, and operation.
Support Head Office Engineering in the areas of electricity use, sustainability, warehouse maintenance and safety.

Hybrid with 3 days in Camden NJ office
Duties / Responsibilities
Lead overall end-to-end capital construction projects including budget development, schedules, and equipment procurement.
Evaluate, and where possible, anticipate project challenges and propose actionable solutions. •
Read and interpret engineering drawings, building specifications, schedules, bid documents, and related construction documentation.
Own multiple projects at various stages of planning, design, procurement and construction.
Competencies
A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited Engineering School (mechanical, electrical, civil, preferred).
1-5 years of project management experience.
Ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong relationship management and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally in a highly matrixed environment with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to communicate complex technical issues to different non-technical audiences.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Organized, team-focused and capable to take on difficult tasks and conversations.
