(QE) is a leading construction firm based in Southwest Florida that focuses on major civil, building, and specialized construction in both the private and public sectors. QE is seeking a full-time Surveyor/Grade Checker to oversee the technology that guides our construction equipment.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• QE uses Trimble GPS or Robotic Total Stations to guide the company's trimmers, pavers, belt placers, dozers, motor graders, and milling machines. QE's 3D Machine Control Surveyor will oversee the technology that guides this construction equipment.
• Most of the Surveyor's time will be spent working with the paving crew using robotic total stations, radios, control boxes, and a rover to help guide the equipment. This involves but is not limited to loading the control box with the files (3D models by others), managing files, and resecting with total stations.
• Responsibilities will also include taking care of the survey equipment, shooting topo's, setting stakes, checking control, and possibly working on some equipment.
• The Surveyor will be involved with performing GPS Site Localizations/Calibrations on projects to guide our dozers and motor graders.
• This is a full-time position that requires some travel.

• Current driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Computer and general math skills necessary.
• Concrete paving or surveying experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Grade Checking experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
