Superintendent/Planner

Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc., known as a leading one stop shop provider for complex industrial services is seeking a Superintendent/Planner at out site in Kansas City, MO. This position requires a self-motivated individual to ensure accurate and timely completion of work.

Though not all inclusive, below is a list of expectations of the Superintendent/Planner role at the Ingredion North Kansas City Site:

• Good mechanical background with ability to provide mechanical guidance when necessary to ensure proper methods are being utilized and expectations are being met.
• Direct and Coordinate field operations with supervisory personnel for various contractors.
• Self-driven individual capable of developing executional plans and other deliverables for the field supervision and subcontractors. Ability to develop scope and ensure proper execution.
• Scheduling of crews and tracking of progress
• Understand and interpret specifications
• Develop and Manage site Construction QC Program for contractors or direct hires.
• Strong familiarity with Safety and ability to manage and enforce.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Flexible individual with ability to determine ideal flow to the work methodology for break-in type work.
• Excellent communications and coordination skills.
• Enforce project work rules.
• Work closely with Site Manager & Ingredion Maintenance Manager in setting and supporting project/site goals.
• Maintain a liaison with Ingredion on-site management personnel.
• Promote Interaction between all contractors and direct hire team members.
• Monitor all work areas to ensure site required standards are in place.
• Conduct safety inspections of the work areas, direct corrective action for unsafe conditions, and inform Site Manager of inspection results. Provide feedback to individuals to ensure performance meets expectations for the site.
• Attend daily update meetings and provide status of jobs being performed.
• Perform Monthly GMP/Safety Audit with Ingredion leadership personnel. Address any findings.
• Perform any discipline measures required for field construction personnel, documenting and enforcement as determined by Ingredion and Site Manager.
• Perform Permit to Work reviews and signatures.
• Have or obtain Excavation Competent Person Training.
