SUPERINTENDENT PIPE Requisition Number 102402.97 Location SABINE PASS, TX, US Zachry is currently accepting applications for a Superintendent Pipe at our Golden Pass LNG new construction project located in Sabine Pass, TX. Position Summary: The Pipe Superintendent will perform job duties and responsibilities safely, efficiently, and accurately while assisting project management in coordinating and supervising work activities for the pipe department at new construction. Assists project management in controlling project costs and maintaining overall profitability for the project Examines project schedule (s) and coordinates labor, materials, and equipment required for various project tasks through pipe supervision. Monitors all pipework activities and instructs superintendents and foremen regarding desired labor methods and required equipment and material necessary to complete project tasks. Assures all production work is within project specifications and continually monitors work progress and quality of work Assists project management in estimating and/or scheduling manpower requirements necessary to perform specific tasks. Conducts regular meetings with craft supervision coordinating future job activities to assure continued productivity Inspects project work activities and serves to advise superintendents and foremen of possible hazards and assists all supervision in maintaining a safe work environment. Coordinates with engineers, client/owner, inspectors, etc. to isolate project design and/or specification problems and assists in developing solutions to these problems. Maintains project progress and cost data to assist in analyzing work efficiency. Feed project development in Engineering and Procurement teams. Regularly attends project safety meetings and serves to advise craft supervision and employees of specific work areas and conditions that require safety attention stressing compliance with Company and regulatory safety procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS Qualifications: High school degree 3 years of relevant working experience as a Superintendent on large industrial construction projects Knowledge of MS Office, primarily Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Demonstrates leadership and ability to work well with others Effective verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary Travel required Required Qualifications - Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Experience in industrial new construction projects, in the power industry Strong piping / mechanical background on large industrial construction projects Must have good aptitude and manual dexterity Ability to work with others - team player Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors Commitment to Zachry values and safety rules and regulations Preferred Qualifications: Current Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee. Reports to Position: This position will be responsible for multiple crews that will be led by foreman supervisors in their daily work. May manage up to 4 crews each having up to 5-15 workers. The Foreman of the crews will answer directly to this position. Physical Requirements: Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting. Will talk and hear to communicate. Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls, and tools. May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements. Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE. Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, earplugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather steel-toed work boots. Work environment: Will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot - cool/cold. Occasional rain. Will work at different elevations. May be required to work in close, confined spaces for a long period of time. Noise levels will be moderate to high.
