Job Overview
RailPros provides comprehensive consulting services for the rail industry. We specialize in areas of RWIC/railroad flagging, project management, observation and inspection, real estate, rail design and engineering, training, and media production. As a leader in our industry, RailPros' projects create long-term value for our clients from concept through operation by providing technical excellence and outstanding services. We are seeking a Structures Engineer to join our growing team.
The Engineer - Structures will be responsible for preparing portions of plans, calculations, specifications, and cost estimate documents for railroad structures projects. The job location is flexible in the U.S. The Engineer evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features. This position also collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments and works on small projects or portions of larger projects.
Ideally, candidate will reside in close proximity to one of our office locations, if further away, expect increased travel:
CA - Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside
TX - Irving/Las Colinas
NE - Omaha
FL - Jacksonville
IL - Chicago
UT - Layton/Salt Lake City
Minimum Qualifications:
BS degree in civil or structural engineering
3+ years of prior structural engineering experience
Good oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional engineering license in U.S.
Knowledge of rail/transit industry standards and guidelines
1+ years railroad and transit structures design experience
Experience producing drawings with CAD software
