Structural Engineering Manager Pay: 120k-140k

Structural Engineering Manager Primary Purpose and Function:
Managing and creating structural engineering for substation and transmission line projects.
Projects and locations will vary throughout the country.

Structural Engineering Manager Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Perform structural engineering design for substation and transmission line projects.
• Prepare and review design calculations of structures.
• Manage a team of engineers by checking the accuracy of generated calculations.
• Analyze failures in order to determine cause and extent of failures.
• Prepare contract documents for remedial design, including technical specifications and drawings.
• Utilize advanced structural engineering software tools.
• Successfully manage client relationships.
• Maintain technical and professional knowledge through continuing education, remaining current with relevant professional publications, establishing professional networks and participating in professional societies.
• Assist in the training and development of other staff members.
• Work closely with Detailing Department on drawing specifications.
• Prepare reports.

Structural Engineering Manager Education and Requirements:
• Bachelors or Master s Degree in Structural Engineering
• 7+ years experience
• Previous experience using PLS pole
• Management experience a plus
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license (multiple states)
• Previous transmission and distribution industries a plus

Structural Engineering Manager Physical Demands:
• Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools and controls
• Ability to view computer monitor
• Frequent alpha/numeric keyboarding
