VG is looking to hire Structural Engineer / Designer for its Lithium Processing Facility (LPF) facility design, Department Of Energy Project, in Oak Ridge, TN. This is a Remote and Full-time Long-term position. However, travel to project site once in 4-6 weeks may be required.
Responsibilities:
-Designing supports and skids for equipment support and performing various structural calculations of the supports and other equipment
- Prepare scope of work and budget estimates, and monitor progress
- Forecast workload and schedules
- Develop structural design criteria for projects
- Analyze and design structures for water and wastewater treatment, and other facilities
- Prepare structural design calculations and check calculations prepared by others
- Direct the development of structural drawings and models Coordinate design with
other disciplines
- Review or write specifications. Develop new specifications as needed
- Perform engineering services during construction, including review of shop drawing
submittals and response to contractor questions
- Conduct condition assessments of existing structures and prepare reports
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite is required.
Minimum 3 years of related experience
Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building
construction, building systems and site requirements.
