The Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering Team working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.
Essential Job Function:
The selected candidate will design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's STEM Degree with 14 years of engineering experience OR Master's STEM Degree plus 12 years of engineering experience OR PhD STEM Degree with 9 years of engineering experience.
- Proven leadership experience on a project and/or team.
- Experience using SAP, Windows software packages or other electronic databases.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD secret clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM
- Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
