Job Title: Service Request Technician II (Electrical)

Reports To: Construction Manager and above

Job Purpose: Perform service-related installation assistance at the customer's premise.

The Service Request Technician II will provide installation support to ensure any service-related installations can be completed on-time and in a professional manner. Technicians will visit a customer's premise and perform the duties and responsibilities listed below. They must work on-site and interact with property owners, management, maintenance, and representatives responsible for the site of installation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Placement of a new electrical outlet when service equipment requires one.

• Provide on-site installation support to alleviate obstacles preventing service delivery to a customer premise.

• Drilling entry holes when required to provide a clear pathway onto the customer premise.

• Repair and/or replace microduct or similar pathways leading onto the customer premise.

• Working alongside and in tandem with client installation technicians when required.

• Exemplary customer service during any interaction with the public or property representative.

• Train and/or lead other Technicians when program requirements demand additional support

Qualifications:

• Must have experience with, and/or be comfortable performing light electrical work. Such as the installation of a standard, three-prong electrical outlet.

• Must be familiar with the properties and applications of electrical wiring pathway systems.

• Comfortable and proficient in the principles of core drilling and must possess the technical acumen to make safe penetrations through congested walls, floors, and ceilings.

• Conducts work in a neat, tidy, and orderly manner.

• Must operate with a high level of diplomacy and have excellent customer relations qualities.

• Problem-solving skills.

• Ability to perform and complete quality work with little to no Supervision.

• Telecommunications installation experience is a plus along with knowledge of the following:

o Routers, Switches, Access Points, and LTE Antenna

Working Conditions:

Daily, on-site visits to Residential and/or Commercial properties to perform installation support as described.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform construction work during the installation of service.

Weekdays and Weekends including some evenings; Rotating days off

Pay Definition/Metrics:

Hourly $22.00 - $25.00
