Position Summary

Work with NASA teams including JSC engineering and other centers to develop best of class modeling approaches

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work with NASA teams including JSC engineering and other centers to develop best of class modeling approaches
  • Develop methods and approaches to allow the SysML model to produce analysis of Agency goals and digital threads
  • Work with team members to identify measurable characteristics of digital thread options
  • Work in a team environment and provide reports to the team lead and NASA customer to provide status on progress and issues
  • Maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors
  • Perform other duties as required

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
  • This position reports to the Program Manager

Qualifications
  • BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and 8+ years of related engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and 4+ years of related engineering experience, or Ph.D. from an accredited engineering school and zero (0) years of related experience
  • Experience with large system Verification and Validation planning and execution for aerospace systems.
  • Strong communications and negotiation skills
  • Experience with the NASA Systems Development Lifecycle, Life Cycle Reviews, and associated products
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles
  • Experience with systems engineering toolsets to include MBSE
  • Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products

REQUISITION PREFERENCES:
  • Familiarity with NASA/JSC engineering processes
  • Familiarity with NASA/JSC documentation databases as well as typical systems engineering products
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification

Additional Information

The position will be Hybrid-Remote. Employees are expected to travel to their designated office as schedules require.
