The Global Surveillance Future Programs Chief Engineer will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team supporting the definition and capture of future programs. The Chief Engineer will support capture managers by leading and coordinating Engineering support to proposals, white papers, customer engagements and partner/supplier interactions. The Chief Engineer will collaborate with Program Management, Business Development, Engineering Functions and other organizations as needed to accomplish objectives. In addition, the CE will maintain cognizance over all technical activities within the Future Programs portfolio to ensure adherence to sound engineering practices and technical rigor while meeting cost and schedule requirements.
Basic qualification:
• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team • Ability to effectively interface with program leadership, functional management, customers, and technical subject matter experts • BS in Engineering and 14 Years with experience; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD. • DoD Secret security clearance, ability to obtain SAP clearances
Preferred qualification:
• Familiarity with one or more of the following: - Mission and Systems Engineering - Military avionics and mission systems - Basic fixed-wing and VTOL aircraft design principles - Aircraft survivability • MS in Engineering or related STEM subject • DoD Top Secret and TS/SCI security clearance
Salary Range: $149,700 USD - $259,900 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
