Job Description:

This person will be based at a 500-person plant that is FDA and GMP-regulated, producing specialty chemicals. Overall, the main thrust of this role will be planning and oversight of projects related to building, equipment and infrastructure. Projects will range in size from small modifications to unit and facility expansions. This person will be involved in all aspects of these projects, from preparing layout and scope documents, to conducting feasibility studies and doing cost analysis, to managing the contractors and making financial justification presentations to stakeholders. This role will also be involved in longer term planning and in developing standardized project procedures for the company.

Minimum Requirements:

• B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, or related


• 6+ years of directly related experience, in project management, facilities engineering, plant engineering, etc.


• This person should have previous project management experience including development of scope, schedule and financial justifications


• AutoCAD and MS Project experience would be a plus


• Knowledge of safety systems including Hot Work, Contractor Safety, and Safe Work Permits is a plus


• Knowledge in manufacturing or chemical plant design is desired, but not an absolute requirement
