The selected Sr. Principal Test Engineer responsibilities will include the support of the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program.
You'll be responsible for scheduling the tests for execution. You will then monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status, and the test results, while adapting the test plan as needed to adjust for evolving conditions.
Essential Functions:

Essential Functions:
- Perform test planning, monitoring and test execution activities for program software .
- Devise the test objectives, organization test policies, test strategies, and test plans as well as document results of completed testing.
- Work in a technical team environment characterized by frequently changing tasks, new priorities requiring quick responses .
- Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish test and project results with limited oversight and direction.
- Estimate testing to be done and acquire necessary resources to complete in a timely manner.
- Collaborate and communicate openly and effectively with teammates and customer representatives.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 7 years of related experience, or 4 years of experience with a PhD.
- Design, develop, implement, and execute test plans, integration plans, and procedures to complete system-level integration testing.
- Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, or new testing requirements.
- Ability to understand and interpret requirements and test guidance to complete system-level integration testing
- Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and Systems Thinking mindset
- Experience developing testing criteria to successfully satisfy requirements
- Excellent decision making and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, Agile IPT environment
- Experience in IBM Rational DOORS system software
- Experience in Atlassian Jira software
- Experience with Agile Scrum Test Lifecycle
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
- A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance is required to start.
- Security+ certification
- GMD/MDA Experience
- Missile Defense Experience
- High proficiency with tools required for communication system and network modeling and simulation
- Communication Link or Signal Processing System Experience
- Exposure to all parts of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle
- Experience in Linux environment
- Experience writing automated tests
