Essential Functions:
- Serve as the technical liaison between NGC's Integrated Product Teams and other Global Supply Chain teams
- Provide daily communication guidance to the Procurement Organization and other IPT organizations regarding supplier base issues and activities
- Ensuring proper working processes and procedures are taking place at the supply base in accordance to, and in compliance with all other NGC requirements. Monitor, manage, and provide visibility of supplier manufacturing performance in support of purchase order requirements as required
- Perform critical part production oversight, supplier milestone management, and various on-site supplier delivery management support when needed
- Ensure compliance of off-site tooling(s) and manufacturing policies regularly per Sector and Global Business Area requirements
- Generate weekly progress reports of all supplier critical issues to management and other internal stakeholders
- Support daily/weekly investigation(s), development and implementation of supplier's corrective action measures with respect to non-conforming processes
- Evaluate supplier's capability(s) when called upon for capacity issues, process control activities and make needed recommendations regarding utilization of the NGC supplier base back to the GSC organization
- Participate in supplier reviews of technical data packages necessary to ensure constraints resolved to meet requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with at least 9-years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience OR a Master's Degree in (STEM) with 7-years' engineering/manufacturing experience OR a PhD Degree in (STEM) with 4-years of engineering/manufacturing experience
- (Significant manufacturing experience may be accepted in lieu of STEM degree)
- You are a responsive, adaptive, self-starter who works to proactively identify risks
- Require strong manufacturing background in either machining, electronics, sheet metal, tooling or composites
- Project management experience
- Understanding of common aeronautics standards and specifications
- Prior experience communicating verbally and presenting on technical topics cross-functionally / across all levels
- Ability to understand/ interpret engineering documents/drawings
- Ability to obtain and maintain at minimum a DoD Secret level clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or similar
- Understanding of various special processes (heat treat, ultrasonic inspection, welding etc...)
- Prior supply chain experience
- Extensive aerospace machine shop experience, composite, and sheet metal fabrication
- Experience as a parts integrator or expediter
- Experience in electronics and/or additive manufacturing
- Tooling background
- Aerospace assembly operations background
- Exposure to major programs including F-35
