Typical Responsibilities:
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector is looking for a Sr. Principal RF Engineer Microwave Design.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Design/analysis/testing of digital communication systems and link budgets using software defined radios
- Design/analysis/testing of radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems
- Use of Software Defined Radios in embedded Linux environments
- Software development focused on signal processing to include python, Matlab, Java, and C/C++
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution and 9 years of engineering experience in an engineering environment; Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution and 7 years of engineering experience in an engineering environment; or PhD degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution and 4 years of engineering experience in an engineering environment; or High School diploma and 13 years of engineering experience in an engineering environment.
- Experience with designing/analyzing/testing signal processing and radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave antenna systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
- Proficiency with MATLAB and/or other related programming languages
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- Technical breadth across any of the following areas: SDR, digital communication and signal processing, Active electronically scanned arrays (AESAs), aperture antennas, antenna/RF system performance analysis, RF electronics, digital electronics, power electronics, CAD modeling, statistics, systems engineering, antenna control design, range testing, measurement equipment automation, and data post-processing/reduction.
- Active In-Scope Top Secret with Polygraph.
