Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services is seeking a systems architect for information governance. The Information Governance Systems Architect will be a member of the Information Architecture and Governance (IAG) organization of the Chief Data Office and will be responsible for the design and development of information governance capabilities into data architecture system and tools. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, excited about taking on a variety of challenges, and able to work without appreciable direction.

We will consider fulltime, virtual telecommuting candidates for this role. This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Translate information governance (IG) principles into operational system and process design requirements
  • Embed governance into enterprise data architecture strategy and designs in collaboration with data and solution architects
  • Define and design capabilities for metadata and lineage
  • Perform AoA on potential tools in the data architecture to accomplish IG requirements
  • Advise and direct operational application of governance architectural designs
  • Advise and direct development of IG standards for technical efficiency and feasibility
  • Develop and direct implementation plans for technical data solutions defined in IG standards
Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 7 years of experience.
  • Significant experience with and good understanding of data lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience developing information governance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience architecting data governance strategies
  • Demonstrated experience with metadata management and data quality
  • Ability to be able to manage changing priorities and priorities from multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively in a team environment with
  • limited direction
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with some of these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Experience with a breath of data governance and metadata platforms such as Alation, Denodo, Collibra, Databricks, Snowflake
  • Experience with AWS Services
  • Solid experience with scripting and scripting languages (e.g., VBA, Python, Power BI)
  • Understanding of Northrop Grumman policies, processes, and data sources
  • Experience with DoD and international customers and/or partners
  • Experience with Agile development and methodologies
Salary Range: $114,300 USD - $188,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
