We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.
Responsibilities:
As our Sr Mechanical Engineer for Real Alloy, you will work to meet the plant engineering needs of our Southern locations which include our facilities in:
Morgantown, Kentucky
Friendly, West Virginia
Loudon, Tennessee
The ideal Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be located near and based out of our Morgantown facility with approximately 30% travel for the role.
Use your knowledge of project management to plan and implement key capital projects, drive technology improvements, and provide engineering solutions that deliver productivity and improve operations within the business unit. The ideal Sr. Mechanical Engineer will effectively communicate project expectations to team members, contractors and stakeholders and build effective partnerships with plant personal through the implementation of capital projects. Heavy Industrial experience is required for this Sr. Mechanical Engineer candidate.
Qualifications:
For Sr. Mechanical Engineers-
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field is required.
4 + years of related industrial experience, including planning, specification, and implementation of engineering design projects
Project management skills with experience overseeing projects in the million plus range.
Strong technical and process management skills are required in this position, with ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.
Must possess strong decision making and problem-solving skills including the ability to solve problems while exhibiting practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved.
Six Sigma/PMP certification is a plus.
Working knowledge of aluminum processes is a plus.
