Job Overview
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Engineer who will be responsible for integration of transmissions and related components with all product platforms.
Provides technical and analytical support to Product Development Engineering. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members. Refers problems that cannot be resolved to the next level. Serves as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement may last throughout all stages of a product's life-cycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.
Responsibilities:
Specify, analyze, design and release hardware changes related to transmission application needs for any of our vehicle platforms.
Will have design release responsibility for transmission related components for assigned program(s), guided, and mentored by Technical Specialists and Manager.
Create layouts of existing and new designs to confirm fit, form, function, in accordance with requirements and regulations.
Follow projects from start to finish on assigned programs. Also support current production work.
Work with other engineers, onsite and offshore, and other disciplines to control and manage the release and implementations of system hardware.
Work with manufacturing and test facilities to develop and control the implementation of design changes.
Support the generation of design documentations such as requirements, DVP&R's, FMEA's, 8D, PYXIS and test reports as well as build books, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
At least 2 years of experience in product design/development
OR
Master's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
