Job Overview
Sr Advanced Systems Engineer
Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems within Client Aerospace. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will be involved in every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life.
Responsibilities:
As a member of an Engineering Design project team, provide Control Systems input by performing the following duties:
Develop closed-loop controls design
Develop simulation models of thermal mechanical systems
Develop hardware and software requirements specifications
Perform hardware, software and system integration testing
Write system verification plans and procedures
Travel to internal and external customer sites to provide Control Systems Engineering support
Demonstrate outstanding performance in a team environment to meet intensive task schedule for assigned project(s)
The Client building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Systems Design, Aerospace, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years experience with electronics systems
Minimum 3 years of experience with DOORS or MATLAB
WE VALUE
Aerospace Experience
Demonstrated knowledge in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics and thermal system closed-loop controls
Proven experience in hardware/software requirement development and integration for ECS applications
In-depth knowledge of major aircraft OEM development standards is a strong asset
Adaptability to a variety of assignments
Demonstrated application of advanced skills in DFSS/ Six Sigma, and Integrated Product Development System
Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems in an effective/efficient/organized manner
Good listening and negotiating skills
Ability to deal tactfully, ethically and confidently with internal and external customers to resolve system issues
Knowledge of DO-178C, DO-331, ARP4754 and ARP4761
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
