Job Title: Specialist, Project Engineer Job Code: SAS5 Job Location: Palm Bay, Florida Responsible for successfully leading the execution of Intelligence and Cyber project teams to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule Works closely with Project Engineering Group Leads to ensure best practices are followed. Oversees the development of the cost/schedule/technical aspects of new development projects, including IRADs Oversees the development of the cost/schedule/technical aspects of new development projects Provide leadership to project teams to manage project execution to meet customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Works closely with the Chief Engineer for Division IRADs to identify project risk and to ensure risk management mitigation strategies and events are being planned and executed correctly Understands how to use Earned Value (EV) to guide the success of a project for both waterfall and agile processes Manages staffing procurement and performance Essential Functions: Problem solving both technical and human interactions Provide vision on what success will be measured by Customer engagement and trust building Qualifications: Ability to obtain a security clearance required Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience Experience in Government contracts and how they're organized/place on contract Experience with best practices for Project Engineering, EVMS, and program execution and developing concept solutions through proposal submittal/evaluation Experience managing projects with budgets of $10M+ Experience leading a multi-disciplined team of engineers Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques Experience across a product engineering lifecycle Experience in influencing changes to practices, processes and approaches to improve execution across an organization Preferred Additional Skills: Experience supporting Government Contract development programs. Work on IRADs as a Project Engineer, Principal Investigator, or Contributer Experience with program pursuit and proposal activities.
