The Solution Studies Project Manager is responsible for leadership on distributed energy resources (DER) and advanced transportation assessments, studies, and services projects. They oversee successful execution of contracted engineering scope and studies/assessments in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, and client satisfaction. Provides for the successful staffing of these projects. This position manages teams of multi-discipline professionals, as well as coordinates and integrates the activities associated with the project, including activities of all third-party companies contributing to the initiative. These projects may entail conceptual design, detailed engineering design, facility assessments, feasibility studies, power resilience studies, sustainability assessments, etc. This position reports to the Lead C&C Solution Architect and coordinates closely with the associated Technology Managers. Key Responsibilities This professional will support concept development and execution of E/EPC project. This professional is responsible for coordinating the execution of engineering services. Specific activities and responsibilities include: _Project Delivery:_ + Manages small to medium project + Manages multiple projects and clients + Manages risk which may include fixed price, new technology, non-domestic markets or new clients + Understand B&V functional organizations and interfaces + Understand constructability concepts + Develops and maintains the Project Execution Plan + Responsible for developing and maintaining the project staffing plan + Responsible for project financial forecasting + Responsible for preparing and presenting monthly project reviews to management + Maintains Project Cost Report and Cash Flow w/Super + Assists with input to monthly/quarterly reports + Develops and maintains the project Change Management Program + Responsible for adherence to contract terms and conditions + Responsible for the development and adherence to project procurement and subcontracting plans + Together with the Manager of Engineering, assign professionals to support studies and design activities + Participate in the execution of the following types of projects: High Level/Screen Analysis; Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Studies; Conceptual engineering and deliverables for small EPC proposals; Project E/EPC services including interconnection applications, permitting, drawing set development/final design + Stays up-to-date on technology development within the industry through investigations, evaluations, conferences and relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMS) + Leads resolution of technology issues + Evaluates and communicates lessons learned as appropriate _Business Development Support:_ + Support maintenance of Q&E, presentations, and other marketing materials + Participate in proposal preparation, client meetings, and other business development activities + Participate in Go/No-Go decisions for applicable projects + Participate in thought leadership (white papers, conference presentations, etc) + Obtains new/repeat business on small to medium size projects; supports contract negotiations with other client personnel Management Responsibilities Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project. Preferred Qualifications + Prefer four-year bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management + 5+ years of relevant experience + Data Center Design Building, GMP, Lump Sum experience desired + Experience in the distributed energy field (Rooftop Solar, Solar Companies, Microgrids, and Battery Energy Storage Systems-behind the meter) + Experience in the advanced transportation field (EV Charging stations, Hydrogen Refueling Stations, Fleet Charging, Aviation Hub Charging, Autonomous Vehicles, Power Grid Enhancements) + Strong understanding of the industry (pricing, performance, schedule, industry trends) + Ability to educate and develop others + Strong organizational capabilities and ability to develop work processes + Ability to continuously network with external clients/suppliers/peers and the ability to apply expertise to business capture and execution + Strategic thinking capabilities + Ability to clearly communicate clear expectations, goals, and vision + Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree.
