Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a qualified Software Test Engineer . This position will be at Hollywood, MD

Position Description

A successful candidate will have experience and ability in performing software integration testing and writing/executing formal qualification test procedures. Candidates must be able to complete tasking with minimal supervision and be an independent self-starter. This position requires the ability to work well in a team environment, have strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to understand technical conversations with respect to software requirements, verification, and qualification testing. The ideal candidate will have experience with the development of software test scripts used in an automated software testing environment.

Other roles, responsibilities, and abilities:
  • Develop software test products such Verification Cross Reference Matrix to tie software requirements to software test, Software Test Plan, Software Test Procedures, and Software Test Reports
  • Develop test approaches for new software capabilities
  • Compile data and define changes required in testing procedures or new testing requirements
  • Experience in resolving technical issues
  • Interface on a technical level with the customer
This requisition may be filled at either a L2 - SW Test Engineer or L3 - Principal SW Test Engineer

Basic Qualifications:

Software Test Engineer:
  • 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters; 6 years of experience or more with a High School Diploma or GED may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • US Citizenship
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (Adjudicated within the last 5 years)
  • Hands-on software testing skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows technologies
Principal Software Test Engineer:
  • 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD; 9 years of experience or more with a High School Diploma or GED may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with one or more of the following software test automation tools: TestComplete 4
  • Automated test script or test procedure development and maintenance
  • US Citizenship
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (Adjudicated within the last 5 years)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with US DoD mission planning
  • Experience with Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) Framework (FW)
  • Experience working with agile software development teams
  • Experience with one or more automated test tools, such as TestComplete and Squish
  • Experience with collaboration and development tools, such as Microsoft Visio, TeamForge, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Experience with cloud computing environments
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages to facilitate automation and tool development
  • Experience with security architectures, firewalls and network security controls
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (Security+, CEH, CISSP, etc.)
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $74,900 USD - $112,300 USD
Salary Range 2: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
