What you'll get to Do: Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as a DevOps Engineer (Build Manager) based out of Manhattan Beach, CA. The DevOps Engineer/ Build Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
Basic Qualifications (level 2):
Salary Range 2: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. What you'll get to Do: Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as a DevOps Engineer (Build Manager) based out of Manhattan Beach, CA. The DevOps Engineer/ Build Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Create and maintain the software CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, bug safe delivery of critical business software to production.
- Set up Development, Test, and Build environments for the team
- Work with various team members to create a product for deliveries
- Create and update Windows installers
- Install, test, and verify software products
- Maintain multiple baseline repositories
- Provide supports to team members with issues relate to build and installation.
- Define and implement software version control processes, policies, and procedures.
Basic Qualifications (level 2):
- Bachelors of Science degree with 2 years Build/DevOps experience
- Current DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SAP access
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a DevOps or Build Manager
- Has worked on the software development program.
- DevOps Experience - Demonstrated DevOps Principles
- Knowledge and experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) Practices
- Experience using and managing one of these CI/CD tools: Bamboo, Jenkins
- Knowledge and experience with AWS and/or Azure DevOps
- Experience using and managing these DevOps tools: Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet
- Development experience in one or more of the following scripts: yaml, Python, PowerShell, Curl
- Experience with Containers in Dockers and/or Kubernetes
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following tools: Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Crucible/Fish-eye
- Bachelors of Science Degree with 5 years of experience, Masters Degree with 3 years experience (2 years of build Build/DevOps experience)
- Current DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SAP access and top secret clearance
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps or Build Manager
- Has worked on the software development program.
- DevOps Experience - Demonstrated DevOps Principles
- Knowledge and experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) Practices
- Experience using and managing one of these CI/CD tools: Bamboo, Jenkins
- Knowledge and experience with AWS and/or Azure DevOps

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills
- Current DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Current SCI/SAP access
- Work effectively within teams where other team members may be located throughout the country
