About the company:

FFWD is a NYC-based female/LGBTQ+ founded and led emerging startup: a new dating app on a mission to reinvent online dating. We utilize in-app video profiles to show the most authentic, real-life portrait of a person before you even decide to "heart" them. Our NYC beta launch is scheduled for Fall 2022. ;

About the role:

We're looking for an enthusiastic and savvy social media intern to join our team to help with content creation, community management and marketing tasks generally.

You will collaborate closely with our founding team to execute FFWD's organic, earned and paid social media marketing strategy in order to build brand awareness and acquire new app users (New Yorkers between 24 & 42 years old).

This role will offer you significant creative flexibility and entrepreneurial opportunities. You will receive a broad range of experience in marketing, customer acquisition, brand development, copywriting, and graphic design.

Responsibilities:

Understand and refine FFWD's brand voice and style
Understand the target audience and the appropriate strategy to reach this group
Research and brainstorm topics, ideas and interests relevant for FFWD's target audience
Analyze accounts of competitor brands in order to adapt winning strategies for FFWD
Create visual and copy content for key social media platforms (IG, TikTok, and Twitter), including static posts, short-form videos, & blogs
Monitor and "hop on" social media/current events/pop-culture "trends" with the goal of creating positive virality to drive engagement & downloads
Monitor for and engage in relevant topics of Twitter
Manage social media accounts & editorial calendars for each platforms
Community management: respond to comments and DMs and engage in conversations with harmonious brands and on topics relevant to our brand and audience; proactively interact with "desired" accounts
Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability

Required Skills:

Passionate social media aficionado (lives and breathes social) - particular interest in TikTok, IG & Twitter
Ability to track and quickly hop on "viral" trends
Willingness to roll-up your sleeves and get work done
Organized, detail oriented & able to multitask
Excellent verbal and written communication (a witty copywriting style is a PLUS)
Graphic design, video editing skills (Google Slides, Canva, Adobe, Premiere or alternatives)
Creative and strategic thinking
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Eager to learn new topics and skills
A PLUS: interest in relationships, dating and mobile apps.
