Job Overview

Location: Kansas City, MO

Reports to: Director of Project Management

Homebase is offering an exciting opportunity to build your technical skills in the new field of smart technology. This role will provide exposure to the WiFi networking, access control systems, and smart device hardware/software services that are quickly growing in the multifamily and multi-tenant industries. In this role you will learn to deploy and manage multi-user WiFi networks, access control systems, and IoT devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Aruba WiFi Networking, Brivo Access Control , and Allegion Smart Lock training/certification programs.

  • Become an expert in Homebase and integrated partner software systems.

  • Work with the Sales Team to understand client requirements and determine appropriate network and access design.

  • Learn software applications required to configure and support Homebase projects.

  • Learn to configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain all hardware associated with Homebase projects including but not limited to: firewalls, wireless access points, electrified lock hardware, iOT devices, surveillance systems, multi-tenant intercom systems, battery-powered smart lock hardware.

  • Learn to manage Homebase installation projects on time and on budget.

Homebase launch teams are 2 to 3 individuals who work together to:

  • Travel to major US cities to install and launch smart buildings for Homebase.

  • Install smart locks, lights, thermostats, security cameras, and WiFi equipment.

  • Teach Property Managers, Leasing Agents, Maintenance teams and apartment residents how to use the Homebase applications.

  • Execute Social Media plans to highlight and promote new smart communities and celebrate their Homebase launch.

  • Throw hype events to get apartment staff and residents excited about the launch of their smart buildings.

  • Coordinate with Homebase Project Managers, Developers, and Customer Success team members to ensure positive experiences for Homebase users.

Homebase Launch Teams are made up of cross-functional specialists. Each member has a primary expertise but also knows how to support other launch team members as needed to expedite completion, solve problems, and create unforgettable experiences for Homebase users. The specialized launch team roles are the Smart Building Specialist and the Homebase Experience Manager.
