Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opening for a Site Supervisor - Gen Gas in Austin, TX.
The Austin, TX operations are comprised of cryogenic generated gas air separation (ASU) plants supplying our electronics business. Gaseous nitrogen, oxygen, and high purity oxygen are delivered to our customers on four different sites in the area. Operations are supported by a team of five Site Supervisors and one Instrument Eng. Tech. Plants require 24/7 on call support and have remote access capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the operations of the plants, identifying problems, and carrying out corrective and preventative maintenance.
Interfacing on a regular basis with other team members, customers, suppliers, vendors, regional maintenance support, and business area personnel.
Following, updating, and maintaining operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Actively participating in the Basic Safety Process (BSP).
Candidates for this position will be evaluated on the following:
A demonstrated commitment to Safety, Health, Quality, and Environmental protection.
Experience in operating and maintaining air separation plants or operations of similar complexity.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Self starter with the ability to effectively manage their time with minimal supervision.
Teammate that is flexible and has a positive demeanor.
Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Relevant experience is a plus.
