About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineers to focus on designing systems with resiliency and reliability in mind, improving operations, automating repetitive tasks, and removing friction and wait time. It's a software engineering role, but at the systems level. You will partner with cross functional enabling and delivery teams to integrate resiliency and DevOps principles & practices into all aspects of our products. Responsibilities
  • Work with product development teams to ensure that best practices for scalability, reliability, and security are designed and implemented from the start.
  • Develop and maintain systems for observability, monitoring and alerting to improve availability, latency and overall system health.
  • Create the environments and tooling that enables the development team to release code quickly and reliably.
  • Apply and improve development and deployment strategies to maximize responsiveness, availability and repeatability.
  • Evolve systems through automation, code, and workflows with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Educate product teams on SRE practices and principles, from the fundamentals of service level measurement to key operational practices like telemetry & monitoring, incident response, and guide them in developing service level indicators (SLIs) and objectives (SLOs) for their critical user journeys.
  • Recommend approaches and estimated effort for mitigation of reliability gaps, and create and execute reliability assessments of product environments, both software and infrastructure.
  • Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders, assess customers' SRE maturity, and recommend approaches to improve SRE practices.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Experience with deployment and pipeline tooling (Azure ADO, etc.)
  • 5 years of experience in operation of production systems, including troubleshooting, testing, and automation.
  • Experience writing code (Java, Angular, React, C#, etc.), data structures, analysis, and software design.
  • Experience with Development Operations practices including infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment, automated testing, autoscaling, and self-healing.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience improving the resiliency of large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with AKS, Azure Functions, or similar containerization technologies.
  • Experience designing and developing software oriented towards systems or network automation (terraform, YAML, etc.)
  • Experience with network and application protocols (TCP, HTTP, DNS) and databases, including both RDBMS and NoSQL data stores.
  • Experience designing, building, and/or running production systems in cloud or virtualized environments such as Azure.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive. Strong communication skills and action-oriented.

The Standard's package also includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.

Salary Range:
$96,800.00 - $169,700.00
