We are currently looking to fill the position of Sewer Sales Manager. When our company started back in 1981, we started with one man and a truck handling residential plumbing needs and have progressed significantly over the past 41 years.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone looking for an exciting challenge. This department is growing rapidly and with that growth comes the ability to shape the future of the department. This individual will be responsible for recruiting and hiring apprentices, technicians, and salespeople alongside our HR department. Once these candidates have been hired, it will be up to the manager and our plumbing trainer to train and develop these individuals into world-class drain technicians and salespeople. Helping employees set and work towards achieving goals is a huge function of this position as well as holding the team accountable to exceptional performance standards.
The Sewer Sales Manager's main priority is to increase our sewer and drain business volume by developing existing business, cultivating new customers, improving the skills of assigned service technicians, and ensuring optimum use of staffing and equipment. The Sewer Sales Manager will need expertise in underground pipe repair and replacement, pipe bursting, relining, drain clearing, and in sales processes.
Responsibilities:
Monitors the progress of worksites and technician efficiency
Ensure proper permits and licenses have been processed for jobs
Develop relationships with customers to build customer loyalty
Meeting department/branch profitability standards
Works with Dispatchers to ensure qualified individuals are sent to correct opportunities in order to provide customers options for needed repairs
Technician Skills Development and Supervision
Conduct on-the-job training
Assist personnel on new assignments
Efficient scheduling of personnel, equipment, and rentals
Work closely with service technicians and sales representatives in the selling and estimating process
Effective supervision of staff
